DARKNESS DAWNS1
shrouded in silence
walls drenched in violence
within the dim lights of times long ago
stands a sharp outline in soft muted glow.
The eerie kilt-skirt of candle drips
eaten eyes shine with vice-like grips
weary trodden shoulders, sorry sodden flesh
goosed skin prickling, criss-crossing mesh
openly vacant mind, nothing much to bare
closed deserted face, blank useless stare
tempered flaring nostrils, set mouth of stone
tautly clenched fists, long fingers of bone
strong legs relentless, akimbo arms of sleet
silent ram-rod back, well-worn feet.
No forbidden contact, the body well-steeled
stretched scar stitches only recently healed.
The prisoner of ears with the obsessed hands
meanders life-force with sudden glands
as with a shudder the mask slips
and the skirt dissolves with burning drips
'soothe me lacrimal my love, leave and let me live'
And the dark sighs with admiration
at the transfiguration
that only memories of love
can give.
THE CRYSTAL AND THE MIST2
Arms raised in mist conjure images of hand actions lost to the the crystal,
but it feels the ctivities in the sister mist;
it knows the fashioning of the seed potential
and finds the nurturance in the form of Love's wish.
It knows the name of the mist, it sees the mist's eye
for it was as of the mist before the solidify.
Living outside of the Dew's Myth the crystal now knows
how to contain the names
and how to reflect their sighs
on dimensionless multifaceted layers
which defy co-ordinates of space and time.
But it cannot breathe their breaths
or live within the mists that bardot you to I.
I thought I was a tributary
a small body, maybe nice, sorta neat.
Then suddenly the flood gates opened my being so that
I could clearly see the waterway connections like
capillaries, arteries, veins.
I run in and out and round again, from a mountain source, emptied into a sea;
could condense, evaporate, fall as rain,
and everythin in between.
I saw with my true eye beyond my boundless sea
without my self containment
within the love I am free.
FLIGHT OF EAGLES
If I could fly into you my love, what would I do?
I'd wander through your subconscious and live all that was you
I'd steal through your inner thoughts absorbing all your pain
And smother hurts with kisses, like a thousand droplets of rain,
Blowing away cobweb nightmares, vanquishing your fears
Erasing every sadness and crying all your unshed tears
I would echo your happiness and bathe it bright in light
Embrace all your joys and hopes, and hold your dreams so tight
Then tuck your mind under my wing and fly it to mine
Where I'd touch them close together and watch as they entwine
Rejoicing in the fusion of our mind heart and soul
As we are born at last my love: two half-spirits whole.
MOONLIT FIELDS3
And let me dwell in the sky, high from Earth,
closer to my beloved heavens, but not so far that I cannot touch my hand to it's floor and feel the life force root
And let him from higher be lowered and raised again to join me
And awaken to the opulence of dawn as dusk
As the transparency of outer robing becomes apparent
And the peeling concentricity quickens the energy between us.
And as he comes to me in joy, let him also be from me with peace only in the knowledge of our unity,
For the symbiosis of two souls supercedes all levels of physical union.
And let his breath in my lungs inflate my purpose within our destiny
So that the purity of being at One is always to the fore in every aspect of my being.
Grant me always the inner sight to see him in each life as the bridge to the other side of my duality,
And the humility to worship Life through our Love;
And for this I will give he,
and therefore ye,
all.

PERSISTING DREAMS4
Persisting Dreams from the Land of our Birth
Rolling us over in Moonfire
Glowing in the Laughter and Mirth
Striving ever to reach higher
Stretching and growing into Rebirth
Healing waves licking Passion's Flames
Peepholing fantasy writhing in Rhapsody
As we wrestle and bite we activate the Light flashing off our manes
Invoking archetypal energy beyond faces and names
Agelessness and history touch wholeness and mystery
Your very breath feels native in my veins.
Knowing with pleasure so sharp it's almost painful
How the light in your eyes so easily reflects my smile
Your Spirit is my Sun, my Soul your Waterfall
When I look at you rainbows beam in my every molecule.
Are you scared because you know what you mean to me?
Is it the softening of the opening or the pressure of the force?
Close contact intensifies the search for identity -
Not to stifle growth but to make us individually free
To connect our true essence with the Universal Source.
Can you wonder how I hunger for the love of you in me?
I so want to share the sky with you, the intimacy of dusk and dawn
With you I can absorb the present moment as it is being born
Come address my longing and I'll undress your feeling
- it's a Starlit Occasion - will you come to my unveiling
- or do you have to leave any woman who wants to see you
naked with your blueprints on?
Persisting Dreams tear me apart at the seams
As you come to me in love I close my eyes to breathe your sigh
Open them and you're gone.

MIND STALKING, VALLEY WALKING5
Mind-stalking, Valley-walking
Circled monologuing, head-talking.
It's only Everything,
The nothing of fresh air.
Never-ending spiralling curve curling
space expansion ; time extortion
bending the wrappings, observing the motions
firing up the filaments, filling all cylinders
breaking down barriers, building up resilience
cleaning-up cohesion, bearing the resistance
shooting white light through the darkness of day
hearing voices, just missing what they say.
The separation filled with imagination
pit-stops spent on reparation
space taking up more room
moving points out on the skin of a blowing-up balloon
skin so thin no substance to skim
no start no end no edge no rim
the experience of density
gets lost in immensity
analogy the lowest common denominator
experience the womb of the exterminator
point attract repel impelled compelled
new start old heart
new centre old lone venture
to become be aware take care
no way/new day fumbling in the grey
stumbling in the fray
crazy for the night groping blindly for the Light
tripping in the shadows, where are our wings -
dare we hope to take flight?
Closed sections of our memories further our plight.
Children of stranded aliens with only cryptic clues to guide our paths home
We misplace our malcontent and make idols from dead bones
To flow fire through mind and circulate love fluid the aim of the wise
To somehow show somnambulists how sleep has sewn up their eyes,
Take the tantalising taper to the attention of cave-dwellers,
Demonstrate how ignorance breeds fear and many strains live well here.
Still the signs will prevail for any whose will wills
Fight with the might of right, the sun's rays will burn away the veils.
Battle to be conscious, to be Here in the Now, awake and aware.
Appreciating your Life from the Heart is to be the song of your own sacred prayer.

WINGED DREAM LETTER6
Oh to see the starshine at the noon of the day
To feel the dizzying spins through clouds of the Milky Way
To stretch through the aura of our Earth
To inhale with my whole being the Universal Breath
Be in total awareness of the Father Light
Wrapped in the full-blown kiss of Mother Life
As peaceful as the unfolding of dawn, as full and empty as air
As perfect as a circle wrought in the potential of a square
To jump from the symbols of our Universe
To and through the Mysteries
To interpenetrate at your own pace, and in Joy unfold layer from layer
And immerse in the Essence, free and finally laid bare......
.....mind-expansion winging on heart-felt prayer.

LIFE'S JOURNEY IN A BODY7
Life's journey in a body
Surely the strangest of all trips
Fog toxins and foreign poisons
Pass unseen through eyes ears and lips
Outer gas burns inner passages
Where the skin of the well-worn cross
Kisses the face of the unknown sky
Screaming the pain of one who is lost
To where goes the wax and the wick
As the body of your candle burns?
To what does your heart strain and leap?
Do you know what makes your dance strong?
And what keeps the candle hand steady?
Of what is the incessant glow?
Flames unaffected by the winds of change -
How far does their radiance go?
Your light was passed on from another
On and on through unbroken lines
Light up your home wisely, my friend
Your dwelling in body-soul-mind
World glamour can't be tamed or fought
Nor can you opt to pass it by
It is melted by your Heart-Fire
Sent from the centre of your eye
So walk on soft skin warrior
Breathing softly your heartsong
Know when to light other candle flames
Pass the fire on safely and pass on.
