| What's New at the SAA - August 2003 |
|---|
We are starting off our new season with an Open Evening on the 10th September at 8:00pm. There will be a short introductory talk on Astrology and a second hand book/magazine sale. If you've ever wondered what's it all about why not come along and join us for a glass of wine or a cup of tea. We will be available to answer any questions you may have. Be sure to bring your birth details – time and place of birth if you are curious about your chart. We will also be selling raffle tickets for a consultation with Noel Tyl in September. Tickets cost five pounds each and will be drawn at the end of the seminar on the Sunday. The lucky winner will be able to have their consultation on the Monday or Tuesday (22nd or 23rd). If you don't want to leave a consultation to chance, there are still a few spaces left – if you are interested get in touch with Cathy.
Our new programme will be coming your way very soon. We have much to look forward to … A whole weekend of learning with Noel Tyl for starters – this will be his only UK event. In the weeks ahead we are looking forward to welcoming back Scotland's very own Data Queen Caroline Gerard who will be speaking for us in October. Kim Farnell from London will be coming up to speak for us in November. She is well known on the international speaking circuit and will be talking to us about "Sex". Yes, that's right, that should be worth dragging yourself out for on a cold winter's night!
We are also hoping to have a Saturday Workshop in November on Traditional Astrology with Ireland's Maurice McCann. Details are still to be confirmed so watch this space ...
At the end of the season we have managed to slot in an extra talk with the Rev Gordon Strachan, author of 'Jesus the Master Builder'. He will be with us on the 10th December talking about the Jupiter-Saturn Cycles in relation to the birth of Jesus and the birth of Islam. It's sure to be a fascinating evening.
While we have been sunning ourselves all summer the good fairies have been into the TS and have sorted out the library – so Christine, Susan and Sara ... thank you very much for your time!
More congratulations are in order ... this time to Lynn Steer who has just had her beautiful artwork published in The Mountain Astrologer, you can catch it in the September/October issue. Well done Lynn, from all of us at the SAA.
You will also be able to see Lynn's work on this site too, very soon now, thanks to Robert our multi talented treasurer. Bless his cotton socks, without him we wouldn't have this web site. We are eternally grateful for all the hard work he does in keeping the site up to date.
Thanks also to Alba Water's Jacqui and John for printing all our leaflets out of the goodness of their hearts!
Finally congratulations to our secretary Steve Stanton who is getting married at the end of the month to the lovely Gosia. Unfortunately for us, he elected the time of his wedding to coincide with our trip to the AA in York. Though we may not be with them in person of course we will be clinking our glasses to the happy couple and wishing them all the very best for the future.
We look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks.
