| What's New at the SAA - February 2005 |
|---|
We have much to look forward to this year when we have another great line up of speakers planned for you. In particular I look forward to Jenni Harte's visit in May. Mark your diaries, as she is one funny lady - the Whoopi Goldberg of astrology! Another one not to miss is the lovely Lars Widding from Norway who is doing a Saturday workshop for us near the end of term. We also look forward to a visit from London's Deb Houlding who is very well respected in the Traditional world, she will be giving us an all day workshop in April. We had some top notch speakers here this past year. Some of the highlights of the year were the all day events we organized. Frank Clifford from the London School of Astrology was a real delight, a great speaker, well informed and very approachable. If you missed him you are in for a treat, as he will be back in March doing a Wednesday slot.
In between we have our talented local speakers who we thank for their time and energy and willingness to take the floor. Mark Cullen, our Secretary, will be giving us his debut talk this year, so we wish him well with that.
It has been lovely to have some new members joining us this year with the enthusiasm they bring. We have both Morelle Smith and Bob Mitchell to thank for that after their stints at teaching beginners' classes. We have also enjoyed the return of some old members from the past. I have been happily involved with the SAA for a few years now, and it has been a lot of fun. I have been honoured to meet such interesting people from the astrological community, and be a part of making things happen here in Edinburgh. The time has now come for me to step back from the committee and concentrate on my own interests. Though I will no longer be part of the organisation, I will still be making my own personal contribution to the astrology world through my connection with Noel Tyl, and will continue to be an ambassador for astrology in Scotland. I will still be queen of networking! And of course I will still be attending the events.
