| What's New at the SAA - January 2006 |
|---|
Dear Friends
In the few months since the summer, things have scarcely been quiet at the SAA!
Our Open Day in September was a great success, as well as a lot of fun. A big thank-you to everyone who worked for or contributed to it.
In October we welcomed Branka Stamenkovic from Serbia on her first visit to Scotland. We enjoyed her talk, of course, and it provoked some lively debate afterwards. Just as it should be!
This term we'll be welcoming back Geoffrey Cornelius, who last spoke at the SAA longer ago than some of us would care to remember. Due to popular demand, we've invited back Joyce Hopewell, who'll be bringing copies of new book. We're also trying out a new format. Jane Ridder-Patrick will give a standard talk in late April, with a one-day workshop on the following Saturday on the same theme. You can attend either, but attending both would be preferable! And there will be many of our other local talents speaking this term too.
Don't forget to come along to the AGM on 15th February. We plan a fun evening, with a quiz and prizes, just like last year's.
Cathy Meek will be running another event with Noel Tyl in the summer - check the website for the details when we receive them.
Janet Saunders is expanding her courses this term. You'll find the details on the SAA website.
Our list of CDs is increasing, now digitally recorded. Keep an eye on our website for the frequent new additions.
At time of writing I'm informed that Paul Wright's book on Mercury and Jupiter is at last at the printer's, so we can all look forward to reading it soon.
And, who knows? (We're only astrologers, after all.) We may have some exciting additions to the Programme before the summer. Stay tuned!
With best wishes,
Caroline Gerard, Chair
