What's New at the SAA - August 2006

Dear Friends,

Another good Programme under our belts and another to come!

In the last Programme, we hosted some of our favourite regular visitors, Sheila O’Hara, Andrew Gilmour and Joyce Hopewell, and established a new one, Maggi Wilson of Aquarius Rising. It was terrific to welcome also some astrological friends from the West that night.

Unfortunately Geoffrey Cornelius had to cancel his workshop, due to illness, but we do plan to book him again at a later date. In light to all the shenanigans we underwent to inform as many people as possible, henceforth we will ask people to notify us if they intend to come to a non-Wednesday event.

In the next Programme we will be thoroughly spoilt. In five months we will have talks and workshops by six visiting speakers, three of them from overseas. Gloria Star of the USA will be joining us after the AA Conference in early September. Branka Stamenkovic of Serbia will be in Scotland in January and has asked to speak to us again. We were delighted to accept, of course. And a chance encounter in West Bow with Christian Borup of Denmark, when I was rushing to rescue my car from a parking meter, means we have a third international speaker to add to our stellar line-up. And let’s not forget Kim Farnell, GraemeTobyn and Derek Walters all the way from England!

Don’t forget to come along to the AGM on 14th February. We plan a fun evening, with a quiz and prizes, as this has proved popular. Duty doesn’t have to be serious!

Cathy Meek will be running another event with Noel Tyl in September - check the website under Non-SAA Events. You’ll find other astrological activity around Scotland there also.

Janet Saunders is offering classes again this academic year. Her website address is on the back cover and we’ve enclosed her leaflet.

Jane Ridder-Patrick and Anna Estaroth still write regular columns for “The Sunday Post” and Saturday’s edition of “The Scotsman”.

Our list of CDs is increasing, now digitally recorded. Keep an eye on our website for the frequent new additions.

With best wishes,

Caroline Gerard, Chair
