Jan 18 Sheila O'Hara Quintiles and the Fifth Harmonic This talk will explore the division of the horoscope by five both in terms of the Quintile series of aspects and harmonic theory through chart examples. Sheila brings considerable experience to this topic as someone who studied the subject of Harmonics with John Addey himself. She has been an active and prominent member of the Glasgow Astrology scene for many years.
Feb 01 Janet Saunders Astrology and Ethics - Exploring the Experience of Astrological Practice What happens when we meet an astrologer? What makes a "good" reading? Can a reading help us make creative change in our lives and if so how? Janet will lead us on an exploration of these questions and more and offer some thoughts on values and the development of self-reflective astrological practice. Janice is both a practising astrologer and trained psychotherapist based in Edinburgh. She is also teaching beginners'; classes in astrology here in Edinburgh.
Feb 15 Annual General Meeting (AGM) A chance for all SAA members to have a say in how the SAA in run. Come along and make your voice heard! Mar 01 Andrew Gilmour Good Heavens... Again! Andrew's talk on the numerical patterns in the solar system was one of the most popular talks on our 2005 programme. We gladly welcome him back for what will surely be another awe-inspiring visual feast! Please bring paper and pencil.
Mar 15 Joyce Hopewell In the Astrologer's Chair Joyce Hopewell is Principal of the Astrological Psychology Institute (UK). She has been Resident Astrologer at BBC Radio Stoke for the past 4 years and broadcasts regularly on a busy phone-in programme. She will be sharing her experiences of how she uses the Huber Method when doing charts live on air using example charts illustrate a different aspect of the Huber Method with each chart.
Mar 29 Steve Livingston The Remasculinisation of Astrology Our Vice Chair makes a welcome return as an SAA speaker to present a controversial, and stimulating talk on the issue of gender in astrology. Steve states, "For several decades now Astrology has been dominated by women, but the men are making a comeback!" Come along and find out why as Steve examines the social and astrological factors involved.

Apr 12 Anna Estaroth The Astrology of moving house Moving home is one of the biggest decisions any of us face and can be a major stress inducer if not handled properly. In this talk Anna will give us some astrological tips on how to plan that next move in harmony with our horoscopes. Anna is a professional Astrologer and is currently the Astrologer for "The Scotsman" newspaper.
Apr 26 Jane Ridder-Patrick Exploring your chart experientially Contrary to some misconceptions experiential astrology can be both fun and transformative. If you thought experiential astrology was not for you this talk might surprise you! Jane is head of the Scottish School of Astrology and a leading figure in Scottish astrology. May 10 Maggi Wilson Sylvia Plath - an Astrological Profile In her first talk for the SAA we are delighted to welcome Maggi who is secretary of our sister astrology group "Aquarius Rising" based in Glasgow. Maggi brings considerable authority to this topic as both an Astrologer and a lecturer on Plath's poetry!
May 24 Nick Grier Cometh the hour, cometh the man Why waste time on beauty parades and interviews when the right person for the top job will show up astrologically? Learn how to put recruitment agents out of business and save a lot of time and effort! Nick looks at some recent appointments to senior positions to see how the candidate and the post are as one. Nick is regular SAA speaker and is always guaranteed to be both entertaining and informative.
