Success is symbolised by the Midheaven, and we succeed when we integrate this angle with the rest of the birth chart. The talk explores the many meanings and importance of this much-neglected horoscope point. We welcome back Frank, who did such a brilliant workshop last year. Between Heaven and Earth For astrological symbolism to be used effectively, the focus must be on timeless and universal principals. The workshop begins with the origin and development of house meanings. It continues by examining the role of astrologer as the medium through which patterns emerge into divinational form. Case histories will be used as examples. Deborah Houlding is an internationally recognised authority on traditional horary practice. Saturn and Neptune An astrologer since 1990, Lars Widding is a tutor at the School of Astrology in Norway, which offers a professional training program for astrologers. Lars is soon to complete his training as a Psychosynthesis Therapist and also teaches Tarot, Alchemical symbolism and Shamanistic techniques, focusing on the practical applications of the insights gained through these methods. He has spoken at conferences in Norway and Sweden, and will be appearing at this year's Astrological Association of Great Britain Annual Conference at York, where he will be speaking on Shamanism and astrology. He has also lectured on the Moon and Saturn at the Centre for Psychological Astrology in London. |
